Synagoge Bochum

The new synagogue in Bochum was completed in December 2007, after two years of construction.

The 4,300 m² plot on which the synagogue was built was handed over to the Jewish community as a gift from Bochum city. The entrance to the foyer, the assembly room, the café and the adjacent buildings are low-rise, functionally designed extensions. The synagogue itself is an imposing cube. The outer surface of the cube, which is almost completely enclosed, features stone cladding embossed with stars of David.
