Christuskirche Bochum
Christuskirche Bochum

Built in the late 19th century, Christuskirche ('Christ's Church') was destroyed by a bombing raid during World War II.

The church was rebuilt in 1956 and now stands as a memorial against war. The church is also used nowadays as a popular venue for concerts and readings. Herbert Grönemeyer, the Bochum Symphony Orchestra ('Bochumer Symphoniker'), Urbanatix, Ben Redelings, Scudetto and Chris Hopkins are just some of the names and shows which have appeared there.
