Bermuda3Eck in Bochum, die legendäre Ausgehmeile im Ruhrgebiet

The Bermuda3Eck ('Bermuda Triangle') in Bochum city centre is probably the best known pub district in the Ruhr region and receives around four million visitors every year.

During the past 30 years, over 80 food and drink venues with room for more than 7,000 customers have been established in the two-square kilometre district situated between the 'Südring' and 'Konrad-Adenauer-Platz'. Almost four million customers visit this pub district every year to drink, eat and celebrate, go to the cinema or watch cabaret shows.

Its central location is clearly an advantage. The district is easy to reach by public transport at almost any time of day or night, as it is just a five minute walk from Bochum's main train station. And around-the-clock transport connections are important, as some cafés, bars and pubs are open to customers until the early morning hours.

In summer, up to 30,000 visitors a day congregate in the many beer gardens and on the terraces of the pubs, cafés, bistros and restaurants. This number can be even higher during special events. The "Bochum-Total" festival, for example, sees almost a million visitors come to party in front of the five main stages and in the district's pubs, bars and restaurants.
